The piercing process
Let’s walk through every single steps to help you feel how it going to be done at LaThanh Tattoo Studio
Preparation
To prepare for your piercing, avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications like aspirin or ibuprofen at least 24 hours before your appointment, as they can increase bleeding and delay healing. Next, stay hydrated by drinking water and eat a good meal beforehand to maintain your energy and comfort during the procedure—don’t worry if you’re hungry upon arrival; Lathanh offers free meals to keep you energized! Lastly, before starting, our professional piercer will consult with you to discuss your preferences, mark the spot for precise placement, and thoroughly clean and sanitize the area to minimize infection risks.
Procedure
During the piercing procedure, you’ll be positioned comfortably based on the type of piercing, and the area will be thoroughly cleaned with antiseptic solutions to minimize infection risks. The piercing itself is quick, using a sterile needle (never a piercing gun) for precision, less trauma, and faster healing. High-quality, hypoallergenic jewelry will be inserted immediately after. Once done, you’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions, including cleaning tips, precautions, and signs of potential issues to ensure proper healing.
After Care
Proper aftercare is crucial for your piercing to heal effectively. Begin by cleaning the area with Saline NaCl 0.9% using the cotton swabs we provide. In addition to maintaining cleanliness, avoid exposing your piercing to chemicals that could irritate it. Be cautious to prevent impacts, lying directly on the piercing, or anything getting stuck in it. Furthermore, refrain from swimming for at least a month to keep the piercing breathable until it has fully healed. While healing, the piercing may leak a yellowish fluid, which is normal. Simply clean the area and follow our detailed instructions for optimal recovery.

The Hygience Standard
At LaThanh Tattoo Shop, we prioritize hygiene to ensure a safely experience. All tools, including needles, jewelry, and equipment, are sterilized using a medical-grade autoclave to eliminate bacteria and pathogens. Whenever possible, we use single-use, disposable items like gloves and sterilized needles, discarding them after each use to prevent cross-contamination. The studio is meticulously cleaned and sanitized before and after each client, with surfaces disinfected using hospital-grade solutions. Our piercers uphold the highest personal hygiene standards, wearing medical-grade gloves and sanitizing their hands and tools throughout the process.
